VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Please note that Haven Housing no longer operates programs nor utilizes volunteers. The information below will help you get connected with People Serving People to volunteer at St. Anne’s Place (formerly operated by Haven Housing).

People Serving People @ St. Anne’s Place relies on the vision, gifts, and passion of our committed volunteers who join us in providing women and their children with culturally responsive and individualized care. Your presence makes a difference in the lives of the women-led families we serve; we could not do this work without volunteers. Please contact the St. Anne’s Place volunteer coordinator, Kathy, to learn more.

Individual volunteers make it possible to offer various activities to families and run the shelter smoothly.  Volunteers help with activities including:

  • Tutoring

  • Art

  • Preschool Activities

  • Playground Supervision

  • Field Trip Supervision

  • Front Office Support

  • Project Help

Individual volunteer opportunities require a minimum commitment of 3 months.

Small groups (3-10 volunteers) of friends, family, or community members can volunteer one-time or more often if desired.

Volunteers are needed to help with various projects including:

  • Organizing supplies,

  • Cleaning community spaces

  • Yard work

Donation drives are a great way to support our families. If you are interested in running a donation drive for new, unused supplies at your workplace, place of worship, or community, please contact us so we can partner with you to create the most meaningful experience for you and most helpful donations for our program participants. If you have questions or would like to set up a drive, please contact Kathy
